To V or not To V...?

That is the question.

Some of you non-vegans out there may be considering to try vegan, but are probably thinking:

"What is the point of going vegan?"
"Does any good come out from me being vegan?
"Everything comes at a cost,so what should i be prepared for if i go vegan?"

Well then,I'm gonna share with you people some benefits that come out of going vegan and the drawbacks you need to be prepared for.

Benefit 1:It benefits your health

More precisely, a whole-foods, plant-based diet reduces your cholesterol level, weight, constipation, risk of heart disease, cancer, or Type 2 diabetes and interestingly, increases your energy levels.

Benefit 2:Mother Earth would smile upon you

Did you know that producing one quarter-pound hamburger requires 625 gallons of water, which is 55 square feet of a rainforest?Did you also know that this production wastes 50 times more fossil fuel than the production of the same amount of plant-based food?It is already bad enough that we use pesticide on our crops, which would cause pesticide to be in the air we breathe and the water we drink.By feeding these crops to the animals, the pesticide concentrates within the animal bodies, which end up being eaten by us,making things worse for us.

Benefit 3:You will not need to visit the bank so often

Not only will you be spending less on groceries, but by going vegan, you steer yourself away from chronic illnesses, such as heart disease or cancer and you will hardly fall sick with all those antioxidants in your body, all of which could have potentially cost you over $40 000 to get your body treated back to good working condition!

Nothing in this world is perfect.Going vegan equates to changing your life, which means you need to "exchange" some things from your average daily life.

Drawback 1:Your food palette will shrink

It is not easy to find a vegan food store or restaurant in this world.Their menus could not have any vegan options or their "vegan" food could be secretly made with some animal products, such as lactose. It would be a wiser choice to make your own meals. It is rather time-consuming,but once you get used to it, you would find it fun!

Drawback 2:You will be lacking in some essential vitamins and minerals

It is evident that vegan diets do not contain the essential nutrient, vitamin B12,though vegans can get it from fortified foods, some of which are breakfast cereals, soy milk and nutritional yeast. There are vegan sources for calcium and vitamin D,but due to the vegan diet, vegans may lack in these nutrients.

Drawback 3:Your doctor needs to give you the go signal first

Not all of us can be a vegan, due to some of our health issues or allergies that bar us to only being able to get protein from meat or dairy products. Veganism is a life-changing experience, and you must make sure your body is able to adapt to the change before taking action.

All in all,if you want to go,or even just try vegan, make sure you are prepared for what it will bring.
